Scott Zucker, Principal, worked at CDC Capital Markets and its successor organizations, IXIS and Natixis. Mr. Zucker was instrumental in growing the US Commercial Real Estate Business to nearly $5 billion in annual loan originations with 65 employees in four offices. Mr. Zucker ultimately served as the Co-Head of the business group. Prior to joining CDC, Mr. Zucker worked on large loan origination at Nomura Asset Capital Corporation. Mr. Zucker began his career at Kaye Scholer, where he worked for nine years specializing in real estate, bankruptcy and reorganizations. He holds a B.A. in Economics and History from Emory University, and a J.D. from the Northwestern University Law School, where he is currently a member of the Law Board.

Robert Kunzweiler, Principal, worked at CDC Capital Markets and its successor organizations, IXIS and Natixis.  He focused on the origination, structuring and underwriting of complex real estate transactions for the bank’s principal operation as well as for execution in the capital markets.  Mr. Kunzweiler ultimately served as the Managing Director heading Natixis’ mid-west regional office.  Previously, Mr. Kunzweiler held a position at Fitch Ratings in the commercial mortgage backed securities group.  He holds a B.A. in Economics from Columbia University.

Samuel Cole, Principal—Stonecutter Ventures, was co-founder of Phigital, Inc., an early stage technology company that allows brands to distribute location-based media content to consumers, and LightSail Education, a successful literacy software company based in New York City.  In 2015, he sold Phigital to a spin-out of Qualcomm. From 2004 to 2010, Mr. Cole was the Chief Operating Officer at BlueMountain Capital Management LLC, today a $21 billion asset manager.  He served on the firm’s management committee and led its operations, risk management and trading teams.  Mr. Cole also worked as Deputy Head of eExchange, a technology subsidiary of State Street Bank providing advanced trading solutions in foreign currency, interest rate and derivative markets; for nearly six years as a senior consultant in the Financial Institutions Group of McKinsey & Co.; and as an analyst for Global Partner Ventures in the former Soviet Union. Mr. Cole has seeded over ten companies across fintech, defense technology and manufacturing/robotics.   He holds an A.B. in Government from Harvard University,  M.A from Tufts University (Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy) and M.B.A from MIT (Sloan School of Management).

Candace Fowler, Managing Director—Transactions, was a partner in Kilpatrick Townsend Stockton LLP and its predecessor firms before joining Stonecutter in April 2014. Throughout more than twenty five years in Kilpatrick’s Commercial Real Estate practice, Ms. Fowler focused on equity investment in real estate, including capital formation, portfolio management, acquisitions/dispositions and land development. She served on Kilpatrick’s Executive Committee and as Chair of the firm-wide Commercial Real Estate practice. Ms. Fowler holds a B.A. in English and Political Science, as well as a J.D., from Emory University.  She is a member of the 2014 Class of Leadership Atlanta.

Chris Bussjager, Managing Director—Asset Management, worked at Gregory Greenfield & Associates (GG&A) prior to joining Stonecutter in July 2015. At GG&A he had day-to-day asset management responsibilities for a $500 million portfolio of retail assets from acquisition through disposition, including leasing oversight, operating performance and value creation initiatives. Prior to GG&A, Mr. Bussjager worked at Morgan Stanley Real Estate as an asset manager with an emphasis on joint venture retail assets within the Prime Property Fund. He received a B.S.B.A in Accounting from Auburn University and holds a CPA license with the State of Georgia.

Brooke Levin, Director—Operations, worked at Rialto Capital before becoming Stonecutter’s first employee in April 2013. At Rialto, she oversaw distressed REO properties and underwrote potential acquisitions of distressed asset portfolios. Ms. Levin has been transitioned her focus from asset management to more operational aspects of the business, including cash management, tax and accounting, human resources and administration.  She received a B.B.A. in Finance and Real Estate from the Goizueta Business School of Emory University.

Greg Killeen, Director—Asset Management, joined Stonecutter in March 2016 after working for nearly fifteen years at Prudential Real Estate Investors (PREI), most recently as Vice President of Asset Management. At PREI, he was primarily responsible for asset management of a $400 million portfolio of retail, office and apartment assets. Mr. Killeen’s past experience also includes having worked as an asset manager at Lend Lease and as a staff auditor at Ernst & Young. He received a B.S. in Management with an emphasis in Accounting from Purdue University and an M.B.A. from Temple University.

Peter Bau, Analyst, worked at Crawford & Company as the Senior International Tax Associate before joining Stonecutter in August 2017. During his time at Crawford & Company, Mr. Bau helped manage the tax compliance of over 100 foreign entities. Prior to Crawford & Company, Mr. Bau worked at Deloitte as a Tax Consultant advising real estate investment funds. He received a B.S.B.A with a concentration in Accounting from the Georgia Institute of Technology and holds a CPA license with the State of Georgia.
